In West Bengal every year in March, WBBSE (West Bengal Board of Secondary Education) conducts 10th (Madhyamik) examination and WBCHSE (West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education) 12th.

A senior official of the state education department said, 'There is only a few months left in the board examinations, so discussions on this subject have started. A suggestion is coming that the 10th examination should be conducted on time and the 12th examination be done a few months late.

It is being considered to conduct 10th board examination with small syllabus. The entire syllabus will be covered at higher secondary level. In such a situation, higher secondary examinations may be postponed for a few months. Class 12 exams can be held in June instead of March.
