Corona epidemic and lockdown have been severely killed on campus placement of Delhi University. Last year where 1160 students were placed, only 138 students have been placed so far this year. University's Central Placement Cell Incharge Hina Singh said that this is the effect of the Kovid-19 epidemic and the restrictions imposed during the lockdown.

Hina Singh said, “We had tie-ups with many companies regarding placements, who were looking to recruit in large quantities. We had prepared to organize recruitment for more than 2500 students. But the process of recruitment also requires a large-scale test which cannot be taken from online mode. The placements have also suffered due to delays in final year exams and results.

The final year exams usually end in May or June. But due to Corona this year, the examinations could not be done in time. Some students are still undergoing examinations. The result will be available only till October or November.

Singh, who teaches at Miranda House, said, 'We are getting proposals to organize recruitment again, so it can be held again. Students going to complete graduation should get another chance. We are looking at what can be done. '

Miranda House has the highest package this year at Rs 18 lakhs as compared to Rs 20 lakhs last year. However, the average package has increased from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 7.33 lakh.
