Gujarat government got a big relief in the recruitment of 69000 assistant teachers inGujarat   Council Primary Schools.  The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court stayed the order of June 3 of the single bench, giving the order on three special appeals of the government.  That is, the government is now free to pursue the recruitment process for the remaining posts other than the ban of about 37 thousand posts by the order of the Supreme Court on June 9.  On 3 June, a single bench of the High Court granted an interim stay on the recruitment process.

On June 8, the two-member bench had directed the candidates to file a written debate in 24 hours, securing their order after completing the hearing to the point of stay of the June 3 interim order in the case.  The above three appeals have been filed by the Controller of Examinations on behalf of the state government.  The single bench, while hearing dozens of petitions challenging the answer key issued on 8 May, found that many of the questions and their answers were confusing and many seem prima facie wrong.  Hence the single bench referred the disputed questions to the UGC.
