Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a national level campaign launched by the Government of India which aims to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure and keep the garbage clean.  The campaign was launched on October 02, 2014.  The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi freed the country from slavery, but his dream of 'Clean India' was not fulfilled.  Mahatma Gandhi gave an excellent message to the nation by imparting education to people around him to maintain cleanliness.

Swachh Bharat aims to reduce or eliminate open defecation through the construction of individual, cluster and community toilets.  The Swachh Bharat Mission is also an initiative to establish an accountable mechanism to monitor immersion use in the open by constructing 1.2 crore toilets in rural India at an estimated cost of Rs 1.96 lakh crore till 2 October 2019, 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birth.  Aimed to achieve Shaun-Free India (ODF)

  When the girl reaches the age where she comes to know that she has abandoned her education due to lack of female toilets in the school and hence they remain uneducated when they leave their education in the middle.  Our daughters should also get equal opportunity for quality education.  After 60 years of independence, each school should have separate toilets for girl students.  But for the last 60 years they could not provide separate toilets for girls and as a result, female students had to leave their education in the middle.  [10]
